You'll need the access code from the letter we sent you.

How to complete the census : Overview

We will send a letter to your household asking the householder to answer questions about the property and the individuals living there.

The householder is responsible for completing the census.

What is a household and who is the householder?

A household is either:

  • one person living alone
  • a group of people (who don't have to be related) living at the same address who share cooking facilities and share a living or dining area

The householder is a person who individually or jointly meets at least one of following:

  • owns or rents the property
  • is responsible for paying the household bills and expenses

To complete your census online, use the unique access code in the letter we sent the householder.

Complete your census as soon as possible.

It should take between 20 to 30 minutes to complete and we’d like you to do it as soon as possible. You can save your answers and return to them later if you need to.

Keep your unique access code safe to protect your personal information. You will also need it each time you return to the survey.
