Second homes
If you have a second home then you will need to complete the census for both properties.
People with no fixed address
You may be living in temporary accommodation or have no fixed address. You will still need to complete the census for the place you are currently living. This may include:
- boats
- mobile homes
- refuges
- homeless shelters
Armed forces
Members of the armed forces will need to complete the census for their usual address in the UK. This applies when:
- you spend most of your time at your place of work elsewhere
- you are serving onboard a ship
You do not need to complete the census if you are a member of the foreign armed forces, or your permanent base is outside the UK.
